WASHINGTON (April 23, 2024) – Audi Field and U.S. Soccer have announced an upcoming friendly at Audi Field between the U.S. Women’s National Team and Costa Rica on July 16. This will be the final match for the U.S. Women’s National Team before it leaves for the 2024 Olympics. The 2024 Send-Off Match will be on July 16 against Costa Rica at Audi Field in Washington, D.C. (7:30 p.m. ET on TNT, truTV, Universo, Max and Peacock).

The confirmation of this match gives the USWNT a four-game runup to the Olympics with new head coach Emma Hayes at the helm. Hayes will join the team for the first time for the June matches against Korea Republic on June 1 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colo., and June 4 at Allianz Stadium in Minneapolis, Minn. • The USWNT has faced Costa Rica 17 times, all wins, with the last meeting coming at the 2022 Concacaf W Championship, a 3-0 win in the quarterfinal round with goals coming from Emily Sonnett, Mallory Swanson and Ashley Sanchez.
  • Once the final whistle blows against Costa Rica in Washington, D.C., the USA will have nine days until its Olympic opener against Zambia in Nice.
