BOLIVIA RETURNS TO AUDI FIELD TO FACE PARAGUAY IN SEPTEMBER FRIENDLY
MIAMI, FL (August 19, 2026) CONMEBOL rivals, Bolivia and Paraguay, will meet at Audi Field in Washington, D.C. on September 27 at 4:30 pm (ET). Their last meeting was a World Cup Qualifier that saw Paraguay claim victory and eventually go on to qualify for the tournament. La Verde will be looking to turn the tables this time around and secure a statement win against their South American rivals.
Bolivia had a spirited run leading up to the 2026 World Cup, which saw their youthful roster beat Brazil 1-0 at home and eventually secure themselves a spot in the FIFA Playoff Tournament. From there, they beat Suriname 2-1 before falling to Iraq 1-2 and narrowly missing out on the expanded tournament.
Paraguay returns to the pitch following a heartbreaking Round of 16 loss against France in the World Cup. This after they produced one of the tournament’s biggest upsets, eliminating Germany 4-3 on penalties after a dramatic 0-0 draw in the Round of 32.
